I know this is a day late, but I really thought this video was put together well. It was simple and to the point. I enjoyed hearing everyone's "stories" of where they were on that day 10 years ago. We really were a part of history. I'm not sure I like how our country has changed since this attack ten years ago, but I am still very proud to be an American. I'm reading George Orwell's classic 1984 right now, and in it "Big Brother" destroys an documentation of real history. It made it all that more impressed on my mind that we need to remember and learn from our history... otherwise... what's the point? Here's what I remember about where I was on 9/11/01:I remember I was getting ready for school when my dad called home to my mom. He explained to her what was happening. She told me, but honestly I wasn't sure what the world trade centers were, and I interpreted it as a bomb threat or something like that. After I was dressed I walked in to watch t.v. before leaving for school. It was then that I realized the magnitude of what was happening - it was then that the 2nd plane hit. On the way to school every radio station played the horrific events, and I have a clear image of stopping at a four-way stop and taking it all in. Looking at the faces of the other people in their cars, knowing they were listening to it too... wondering what would happen next. I got to school and told many of my friends who didn't know what had happened yet. The library became crowded as people gathered around the t.v. to try and watch the events unfold. Some teachers continued on with their lessons (life must go on they said) and others said this is history in the making and turned the news on and we cried as we watched. ... Crazy to think that 10 years has gone by.

My daughter Brinnsen's nursery wall. I don't have a vinyl cutter. :( sad day, I know. So instead I cut out scrapbook paper and that sticky drawer liner paper. (you know what I mean right?) And there you go! Wall circles without using vinyl!
I'm trying to remember how to post things to my page. I just love reading blogs, and do some crafts on my own... maybe I'll get as far as to post some of those projects on here!
No, I did not get a face lift. But my blog got one! I spend most of my time updating my Facebook page, but I've recently picked up the hobby of blog hopping and thought it'd be fun to update MY blog. It's very possible that this will be my only post this year - at least that seems to be my trend - although I'm not at home with my daughter Brinnsen and have some more time to "blog". Maybe I will even post some of the crafty things I see other places that I attempt to recreate. Wish me luck!
